The Great British Sunshine

Bonjour ladies!

What a lovely week it's been here in the uk! We have had glorious sunshine...something I had almost forgotten existed after the dull days we seemed to be having an awful lot of in recent months.

Yesterday, with the sun beating down and armed with a selection of picnic treats, me and my pal Amy made our way to Regents Park to bask in the wonderful weather!

My outfit today was a rather patriotic red, white and blue ensemble...
Red sun hat: antique and vintage shop.
1940's bolero: ebay.
Sun dress: secondhand emporium.
Basket bag: carboot.

I adore the print on this bolero.

Our picnic- crisps, dips, pitta bread, strawberries, gin and tonics, pimms and lemonades, bucks fizz...

Not to mention the red, white and blue fondant fancies which we were incredibly excited about!

What have you been doing to celebrate the wonderful weather this week dear readers? I do hope you've had a lovely time.

Pip pip xx

  1. What a glam picnic! I was working on Saturday which was beautiful, Sunday was over casted in sunny Devon
:( but I still managed to sit in a beer garden all afternoon watching an Irish band :)

    1. What a lovely way to spend an afternoon!

  2. Oh, that is such a pretty outfit!

I enjoyed my first weekend in ages with no freelance - sitting out in the garden listening to 1950s music, wondering why I didn't *have* to do anything.

  3. Ooh what a pretty outfit - I love your basket! And I must have some of those fondant fancies ASAP!

  4. I like that you bought more booze than food to your picnic! The bolero is really gorgeous! I'm headed straight to ebay now to see what I can find! Love the basket bag very much and the dress too! Hurrah for sunshine!

    1. Of course....that always makes for an enjoyable picnic. It's sort of a rule, isn't it?

      Good luck ebaying!

  5. Thanks ladies!

I think we should all spend the next week wearing red, white and blue, and eating fondant fancies....mmmm!

Please leave me a comment, I'd love to hear what you beauties think.
